This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our partner mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By registering as an Axumite Partner or using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal & Account Details

• Full Identity Details: First name, last name, grandfather's name, phone number, gender, and service city.
• Profile & Verification Photos: Driver profile photo, selfie photos for identity verification, and account profile picture.
• Account Authentication: Phone number (OTP verification) and device security tokens.
• Emergency Contact Information: Phone numbers provided for safety features and emergency SOS alerts.

2.2 Driver Verification & Official Documents

• Driver's License: License number, expiry date, category, and digital photos of your driver's license.
• National & Local ID: Government-issued National ID, Kebele ID, or Passport information and photos for identity verification.
• Vehicle Registration & Ownership: Vehicle registration certificate (Libre), ownership documents, and license plate number.
• Vehicle Insurance: Insurance policy details, coverage status, and insurance document images.

2.3 Vehicle Details

• Vehicle Characteristics: Vehicle make, model, year, color, seat capacity, vehicle category (e.g., Economy, Standard, Comfort), and exterior/interior photos of the vehicle.

2.4 Background & Real-Time Location Data (Critical Disclosure)

• Location Tracking: We collect precise real-time GPS location data when the Axumite Partner app is open or running in the background while you are online or completing a trip.
• Purpose of Background Location: Background location is collected specifically to match you with nearby passenger ride requests, provide turn-by-turn navigation, display your live arrival progress to passengers, calculate accurate trip mileage and fares, and monitor driver safety.

2.5 Earnings, Financial & Wallet Information

• Driver Wallet Balance: Gross trip earnings, platform commission deductions, cash fare collections, and active wallet balance.
• Payout Information: Payment-related information required to process driver earnings and withdrawals. Sensitive payment credentials are handled by authorized payment providers.
• Transaction History: Detailed records of trip payouts, deposits, bonus rewards, and platform fee deductions.

2.6 Trip & Service Analytics

• Ride History: Completed trips, pickup and drop-off coordinates, routes taken, trip durations, and fare breakdowns.
• Ratings & Feedback: Passenger ratings, reviews, and driver compliance ratings.
• Device Diagnostics: Device model, OS version, app performance logs (via Firebase Performance), and crash reports (via Firebase Crashlytics).

3. How We Use Your Information

• Driver Verification & Onboarding: Verify your identity, check document authenticity, inspect vehicle compliance, and approve your driver account.
• Ride Dispatching & Navigation: Use real-time background location to assign nearby ride requests, provide optimal routes, and show your live arrival to passengers.
• Earnings Payout & Financial Management: Calculate trip fares, manage your in-app driver wallet balance, process commission fees, process driver earnings and withdrawals through supported payment providers.
• Safety & Emergency Response: Monitor active trip routes, enable emergency contact sharing, prevent fraudulent accounts, and assist emergency services if needed.
• Communication & Support: Send push notifications for incoming ride offers (via FCM), facilitate direct phone calls with passengers for pickup coordination, and provide customer support.
• App Optimization: Analyze app crashes and performance metrics to fix software issues and improve battery/location efficiency.

4. How We Share Your Information

4.1 With Passengers

When you accept a ride request, we share your name, profile photo, vehicle make, model, color, license plate number, driver rating, phone number, and real-time location with the assigned passenger to facilitate pickup and safety.

4.2 With Third-Party Service Providers

• Map & Navigation Services: Google Maps and Google Places API for mapping, route calculation, and navigation.
• Payment Services: Chapa payment gateway is used to process secure financial transactions, including driver earnings payouts, wallet transactions, and payment-related services. Axumite Partner does not store your complete payment card or banking credentials.
• Push Notification & Analytics Services: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and Firebase Performance for push alerts and app stability.
• Real-Time Messaging Engine: SignalR engine for real-time driver status syncing and ride dispatch updates.

4.3 Legal Requirements & Safety

We may share your information, documents, or location logs with law enforcement or regulatory authorities if required by law, subpoena, legal process, or in response to an emergency situation involving personal safety.

4.4 No Data Selling

Axumite Partner does not sell, rent, or trade driver personal data to third parties.

5. Third-Party Services & Local Storage

5.1 Third-Party SDKs

• Google Maps & Places: Real-time mapping, location lookup, and navigation.
• Firebase Suite: FCM (Push Notifications), Analytics, Crashlytics, and Performance Monitoring.
• SignalR Engine: High-speed real-time bidirectional communication for live dispatching and location streaming.
• Chapa Payment Gateway: Used to securely process payment transactions, driver payouts, and wallet-related financial services.

5.2 Secure Local Storage

• Hive Database: Local storage for offline app settings and cached trip details.
• Flutter Secure Storage: Encrypted device storage (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain) for driver authentication tokens and session security.

6. Data Security

We implement technical and organizational safeguards to protect driver data:

• Transport Layer Security: All data transmitted between the app, servers, and payment gateways is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS protocols.
• Document Protection: Uploaded verification documents and IDs are stored in secure cloud storage with restricted access controls.
• Secure Device Tokens: Driver authentication sessions are secured via encrypted device storage.

7. Your Rights & Account Deletion

As an Axumite Partner, you have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access & Updates: View and update your profile details, vehicle details information within the app under Profile & Vehicle Settings.
• Account Deletion: You may delete your Axumite Partner account directly from the app or request account deletion through our account deletion page: Account Deletion Request You may also contact driver support for assistance with account deletion.
• Data Retention Notice: Upon account deletion, your active profile is deactivated. However, trip logs, earnings records, and tax-related transaction history will be retained for up to 7 years to comply with statutory accounting and tax regulations.

8. Children's Privacy

The Axumite Partner app is strictly for registered drivers who are legally licensed adults (18 years or older). We do not collect information from individuals under 18 years of age.

9. App Permissions Required

• Location Permission (Always / Background & Foreground): Required to receive nearby ride requests, provide turn-by-turn navigation, display live location to passengers, and calculate trip fares even when the app is in the background.
• Camera Permission: Required to take photos of your vehicle, profile picture, driver's license, and registration documents.
• Photo Library & Document Storage Permission: Required to select existing photos or PDF document files from your device for driver verification.
• Notification Permission: Required to receive incoming ride request alerts, trip updates, and earnings notices.
• Phone Permission: Allows direct phone dialing from the app to contact passengers for pickup coordination or reach driver support.
